I reset the USB and the PoleMaster was operational. A conflict occurred between PoleMaster and Indi Lib for QHY driver. My Observation site was not configured for the session. After 6 passes of Solver failed, I quit using EKOS and Astrometry. I allow EKOS to determine the FOV, 88.4 x 70. All others are added after booting is complete.Īnother clear night and I used PoleMaster and attempted Astrometry. It must have RS232 access ASCM00 or ASCM01. I have to start with the AstroEQ as the only device on the Hub. Thank you to the team working on this area of AstroBerry. Why such large files when I picked a large arc second level? Loading a 400mb file to search is nothing trivial. The gap in the timeline is not precision enough to show a delta. The Solver shutdown is nearly instantaneous. EKOS, Astrometry, and Pi are not working together. The other item is the Solver Timeout issue. What port did USB assign GPSD? I know rules can be conditionally automated. I use a USB 7 port powered hub to support the 5 USB devices. The USB Port assignment process is consistently different. GPSD and rules are tricky items to resolve. Given my setup, I should not be pulling from 2’ x 3.8’ or the next arc second level above the smallest. ZWO’s grainy picture is USB 3.0 compatibility need given by USB 2.0. Being in a different time slot can produce empty space. I need to check my logs to see if GPSD failed to see the device. The PoleMaster software is not having problems. The QHY can capture 1920 x 1280 images by default. I am puzzled why it thinks it needs gargantuan solver files. They take a long time to load and the PI memory is on a budget. The missing Astrometry files were downloaded from Astrometry and copied into the appropriate folder under sudo. After three more sessions of this repeatable failure, I am now looking for solutions. On the second attempt, the QHY image is shown. I have ZWO in a ZWO 60mm x 280 on top of my OTA. With the ZWO image, no wonder, I thought. With the Astrometry Imaged captured, Solver begins and ends with Solver timed out. I wait 9 minutes for Astrometry to load image 1. The image captured is grainy and out of focus. Why did I go to empty space and not M31? I tried EKOS and Astrometry three times. The mount starts parked at the celestial pole. KStars and Echos knows where the mount is located, elevation, and time. Using mount control, I search, find, and GOTO to empty space. My reticle agrees with the celestial pole placement. QHC PoleMaster software works under AstroBerry. The tripod is a Vixen SGX mount with an 8” extension. For mount controls, I use EQMod to run the AstroEQ. For visual guiding and alignment, I use a ZWO 120mm and a QHY PoleMaster. My OTA is an Orion 6” RC tied to an motorized Vixen GP mount. I have been fortunate to be receiving three straight clear nights to work under AstroBerry. Now, that I have found at least two Astrometry resources I can talk about an issue from last night. I do desire to get an automated Polar Alignment set up. I will see if I can refresh the installation. Question 1: What is the application for Astroberry PI to download and refresh Astrometry? The specific error message files are there. I reviewed the files there and compared what I default had with Astroberry. KSTARS shows the correct coordinates for my area. To me, this suggests that the area I am in and Astroberry are not in sync. After reviewing the logs, I see messages saying Astronmetry index files are missing. Pass 2 and 3 occur after a long time, 15 minutes. Pass one gets a image from the QHY Polemaster. My tilt has Polaris in the cross hairs relatively speaking. I dutifully open EKOS and pick polar alignment. GPSD is working fine and setups up the site to be searched. I have a profile in EKOS setup with my equipment. I am seeking assistance with the Polar Aligment process within EKOS.
